Located in southwestern Africa, Namibia boasts a well-developed infrastructure, some of the best tourist facilities in Africa, and an impressive list of breathtaking natural wonders. Visitors can explore the capital of Windhoek and discover the lovely coastal town of Swakopmund boasting remnants of the country’s German influence, reflected in the architecture, culture, cuisine and the annual Oktoberfest celebrations. To properly appreciate this extraordinary country, you will have to venture out of the cities to explore the remarkable natural landscapes Namibia has to offer. These include: the impressive Fish River Canyon; the vast Etosha National Park teeming with abundant wildlife, such as lions, desert-adapted elephants and the Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra; the hauntingly beautiful Kalahari Desert; and of course the Namib Desert stretching for over 2000 km along the magnificent Atlantic Coast. Namibia is an ideal destination for travellers seeking an unforgettable African experience in a uniquely beautiful untamed wilderness.
Swakopmund
Set along the spectacular Namibian coastline, the seaside town of Swakopmund is known for its wide open avenues, colonial architecture, and is surrounded by otherworldly desert terrain. Founded in 1892 as the main harbour for German South West Africa, Swakopmund is often described as being more German than Germany. Now a seaside resort town, Swakopmund is the capital of the Skeleton Coast tourism area and has plenty to keep visitors happy. The quirky mix of German and Namibian influences, adventure options, laidback atmosphere and cool sea breeze make it very popular Namibian destination. Visitors can look forward to a number of exciting activities including: quad biking, horse riding, paragliding, fishing, sightseeing and fascinating desert tours.

Day 2Swakopmund

Overnight: Hotel Zum Kaiser or Alternative on FB basis + Scheduled AM catamaran dolphin seal cruise
The next morning, after breakfast, we proceed to the main harbour town of Namibia situated approximately 30km from Swakopmund to partake in a catamaran boat cruise. We walk towards the boat on the jetty (watch your step ) on to the catamaran. (Important to note : do not board the catamaran in heels, wear takkies/sandals to avoid damaging the deck, also please take along a nice warm jersey or jacket as it can get very cold in the Atlantic Ocean to avoid an unpleasant cruise). While on board you get an official welcome with a shot of old brown sherry, just to keep your body warm, while your guide on deck explains to you all that you need to know about the activities taking place on this side of the sea, including passing a huge oyster farm. Just before heading back the crew will prepare snacks (mostly seafood, including Namibia’s biggest aphrodisiac – delicious Oysters), with juice, cooldrink and champagne to enjoy on the boat. After the boat cruise, you can partake in an optional PM sandwich harbour excursion on 4×4 – weather and tide permitting at an additional charge. We head back after the activities to Swakopmund and for dinner your guide will choose a nice restaurant to end our Swakopmund adventure.

Day 3Departure

After breakfast, we make sure to collect all our belongings, and we make our Journey back to Windhoek. Your guide will drop you off at the Windhoek International Airport, or at your accommodation in Windhoek.

END OF SERVICE…
WE WISH YOU A WONDERFUL & MEMORABLE JOURNEY IN NAMIBIA!

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Due to the limited capacity of some lodges in Namibia, the management of the reservations offices are very strict for all A la Carte and Group bookings! The wait lists will be confirmed or not 60 to 30 days before the date of reservation of the lodge in question. On the assumption that the initial lodges would have no possibility to confirm within the given time mentioned above, the customers will automatically be booked in lodges proposed in option with supplement/reduction (within the framework of the supplements, this price change will not be charged to Hansen’s Booking Agency CC). The customer thus accepts this rule of the waiting lists and the consequences which could result in tariff changes, changes of category of lodges or certain stages of the trip. On the contrary, the client can withdraw and cancel the trip within 15 days as from the reception of the reservations status. For last minute reservations – that is less than 30 days before the date of arrival in Namibia – the withdrawal time will be 48 hours as from the reception of the reservations status.
FORMALITIES: The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of return. 3 blank pages are compulsory (of which 2 should be back to back when open) the customs office of the country where you are departing from can refuse the passenger to board the flight if these requirements are not met. Each customer is only responsible to check the validity and the conditions of his passport according to his nationality and the formalities in force of the country in which it goes. In no case can Hansen’s Booking Agency cc be held responsible for the generated consequences (delay, cancellation of certain stages, repurchase of plane ticket etc…) if one or more of the customs formalities or health are not respected by the customers.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: No travel insurances (luggage, cancellation, etc…) are included in our tariffs. It is strongly advised to not travel without any of these insurances.
